Reverbnation aquired by Singapore's BandLab

Big News if you use ReverbNation for email marketing, pushing new song releases to social, Distribution or most importantly, using their #STW recommended EPK for pitching music to music supervisors, journalists and businesses

The deal is effective immediately. Founded in 2015, BandLab is Singapore-based BandLab Technologies’ flagship music making platform, which, it reports, is used by over 40 million creators. BandLab says the acquisition will help it accelerate its artist services capabilities, building on recently announced features like artist-to-fan subscriptions and BandLab Distribution.

Post-acquisition, ReverbNation says that its services to artists will be uninterrupted and that that artists can “expect a seamless integration of ReverbNation’s features into BandLab’s creator capabilities in the near future”.

Bandlab in and of itself is a interesting platform that offer an app compatible with Apple and Android that allows for music making on the go. They also offer Royalty free sounds and samples, free mastering app and a download of the Cakewalk DAW. Marrying these sound creation tools with Reverbnation's marketing and music distribution tools could be a really well rounded experience for artists. #STW will keep an eye out here.
